I have decided that I would like to do some volunteer work. I am going to sew for charity. I would like to sew dresses for little girls.
I have chosen the dress a girl around the world organization. A “Dress a girl” label is sewn to the outside of each dress to indicate to predators that this child is being looked after by an organization. For information on how to get involved and sew dresses for little girls and to purchase labels, go to the dress a girl around the world website. You can also get information on how to get a template for the labels if you prefer not to purchase them.
Another organization I am interested in sewing for is Little dresses for Africa.
If you are also interested in sewing for charity, here is a list of some helpful articles and resources. They all have a list of organizations that you can choose from to do this wonderful deed.

“I’m convinced of this: Good done anywhere is good done everywhere. For a change, start by speaking to people rather than walking by them like they’re stones that don’t matter. As long as you’re breathing, it’s never too late to do some good”.- Maya Angelou
“People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway. If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives. Be kind anyway. If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies. Succeed anyway. If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you. Be honest and sincere anyway. What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight. Create anyway. If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous. Be happy anyway. The good you do today, will often be forgotten. Do good anyway. Give the best you have, and it will never be enough. Give your best anyway.”- Mother Teresa,Founder Of The Missionaries Of Charity
Today I am grateful for the gift of sewing and the opportunity to help others.
