New Look 6575 is a pattern for a tunic blouse. On the pattern envelope, the model wore this tunic with a pair of leggings (or skinny jeans). But if you lengthen the bottom, it can be made into a dress. In my case, due to my short height, I can wear this as a short dress on it’s own. I like this pattern because of the flowy, loose fit. It’s perfect for Spring or Summer.
My favorite part of this tunic are the grown on sleeves. There are two options for the grown on sleeves. There is a wide, round sleeve option and a straight sleeve option. There is also an option for a cap sleeve.
If you want to add trim to the V neck and cording for the drawstring, there is an option to do that. I didn’t do the cording for the drawstring and instead, inserted elastic all the way for the waist.
The V neck has a neckband facing. The one thing that I do not like about this tunic is how low the V neck goes down. It is a very deep low cut V neck. I used a safety pin to pin the neckline closer up and it worked.

I made another tunic using a really colorful fabric with red, teal and purple colors. My goal was to try to move up the neckline as much as possible to make it more modest. I was able to move it up a bit but not as much as I wanted to move it up (see it here: New Look 6575- A Summer Tunic). I think it will actually make a really nice swimsuit cover up.
Happy Sewing!
Another cute make. You amaze me with your productive spirit! When you are wearing it, it sure looks like you’ve solved the “too low” problem. Did you use a snap or pin it? Also, what kind of fabric did you use? I do like the Boho flow. It’s been years since I’ve sewn a ‘New Look”.

Thank you, I pinned it with a safety pin, lol. I think this fabric was a rayon type.
