January was a busy month for me. I made 8 garments! I can’t believe it. That’s a record for me. Of course, if we weren’t in the middle of a pandemic, I don’t think I would have been able to finish that many items. In addition, I haven’t lost my sewing mojo (yet), so I’m taking advantage of my creative streak.
I really enjoy sewing. It’s my favorite past time. It keeps my mind busy. It feels good to be creative, feel productive and make something with my own two hands.
Here are my January makes:
I made three dresses and and five blouses and none of them loungewear, which is all I’m wearing these days. I’m trying to create a “Work Wear Capsule”- clothes I will wear when we are back at the office because sometimes I miss dressing up. But to be honest, I’m not in a big hurry to go back to the office. I’m happy and grateful to be able to work from home. But it’s nice to have goals, so I will continue with my work capsule.
I think I’ll start a couple more capsules. I will start a “Weekend Wear Capsule”- for those days (in the future) when I will be brunching with my friends or doing something fun. I will also start a lounge wear capsule (now we’re talking!).
Let’s see what happens! Until then, happy sewing!
