Washi tape gift tags

Here is a quick and easy way to use washi tape to make a gift tag. I used a couple of tags I already have in my scrapbook paper collection. These tags were made of hard cardboard material, but any cardboard or hard cardstock paper will do.

Materials you will need:

  • scrapbook tags or cardboard/hard cardstock that you can cut into a tag
  • scissors
  • washi tape
  • modpodge and brush for applying modpodge (optional)
  • ribbon

I covered the face of the tag with washi tape. It will be matching to the gift that I will be giving.

I added a sticker.

I applied modpodge on top of the sticker and face of the tag.

I tied the gift tag around my gift (in this case, a tinted mason jar that I intend to use as a planter) with a ribbon. The washi tape around the neck of the jar and on the gift tag match!
